Google has reportedly added the autoplaying videos option to its search platform. In other words, the clips will automatically start playing when one’s results load-up, even if they aren’t specifically looking that particular video. Many feel that Google’s search platform will become cluttered if the autoplaying videos option is added, which might end up getting its users annoyed.

The clips are said to appear on the right-hand side on the results page. According to a report published by the SEM Post, the autoplay video option was only limited desktops until now. Users would have to tap on the videos manually in order for them to start playing. However, that is about to change. One good thing about the new addition is perhaps the fact that the videos won’t automatically play with sound. Users will be required to click on the video for turn the sound option on.

Google recently confirmed that the firm is currently testing the said functionality. “We are constantly experimenting with ways to improve the Search experience for our users, but have no plans to announce at this time,” the company spokesperson said. In other words, the new feature is not available for the users at the moment. There are chances that Google might not even end up rolling out the feature, if it deems unsuccessful. The autoplaying video option currently features on Facebook’s News Feed and many will agree that it can get slightly annoying after a point of time.
