After Apple, Samsung to launch wireless earphones
Samsung's new in-ear wireless headphones to compete with Apple's AirPods.
It’s been approximately two months since Apple introduced its new wireless AirPods, surprising both the other developers as well as the consumers. Now reports suggest that Samsung is also planning on making a similar move.
Samsung had already been rumoured to eliminate the 3.5mm headphone jack from the upcoming Galaxy S8 smartphone. It was later reported that the company has multiple prototypes and some of them do have the 3.5mm headphone jacks. Sammobile now reports that the South Korea-based company is all set to launch new wireless in-ear headphones alongside Galaxy S8.
“According to the information we’ve received, Samsung will launch new wireless in-ear headphones alongside the Galaxy S8,” Sammobile reported. “We’re not sure whether they would be bundled along with the smartphone or sold separately, but Samsung is surely looking to put out a product that competes with Apple’s AirPods,” the report added.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 is expected to launch in April, 2017.
