Dark Mode finally arrives on YouTube for Android

The much-awaited Dark Mode on YouTube finally starts rolling out for Android users.

Last year, Google’s YouTube granted a huge wish of its viewers to bring a dark UI mode. The new mode made it possible for viewers to turn the regimes of YouTube’s interface on the web browser to a darker shade, which helped reduce strain on eyes while binge-watching before going to bed. Soon after, the YouTube app for iOS got the dark mode, but enthusiasts on Android have been left waiting, until now.

According to a report by XDA Developers, certain Android users across the world have started receiving the new update that brings in the Dark Mode to YouTube app for Android. The entire UI wears a grayish tone, which will comes across as beneficial for reducing strain on eyes in darker ambient environments. If you don’t see the enw dark theme implemented, then tap on the profile photo, head over to Settings and hunt for the new Dark Theme from the General settings. If you wish to get back the lighter theme, you can turn the toggle off.

If you aren’t able to spot the new Dark Theme toggle, then you will have to keep looking for an update from the Google Play Store. The update is rolled out in phases and therefore, could take some time to be rolled out to your region.
