InFocus launches new A2 in India at Rs 5,199

On the purchase of InFocus A2, Reliance Jio users will get up to 30GB free data.

InFocus has expanded its portfolio and launched a new entry-level smartphone — A2 in India. The smartphone comes with a price tag of Rs 5,199 and will be available only across offline retail channels.

The InFocus A2 boasts a 5-inch HD display with a resolution of 720x1280 pixels along with 2.5D curved glass protection. It is powered by a Spreadtrum SC9832 quad-core chipset with all four cores clocked up to 1.3GHz. The handset features 2GB RAM and 16GB storage. The handset boots Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box and currently it is not known whether an Android Oreo update will be available in the near future. The handset will be available in two colour variants — Black and Champagne Gold.

Optics wise, the InFocus sports a 5MP rear camera and 5MP front shooter with LED flash. It also comes equipped with a beautification mode that will beautify your selfies and other features such as innovative camera filters, pro mode and FaceCute.

In terms of connectivity, the handset includes 4G LTE, Bluetooth, GPS, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and a micro USB port. It is backed by a 2400mAh battery, which is said to last the whole day. The InFocus A2 will be seen competing with Nokia 2, Xiaomi Redmi 5A and 10.or D. Moreover, on the purchase of InFocus A2, Reliance Jio users will get up to 30GB free data.
