Days before launch, CMO reveals details of upcoming Realme Q phone online

CMO Xu Qi Chase gave out details related to the handset's battery, design as well as processor.

Close on the heels of last week’s Realme Q specifications leak and days before the launch of the actual phone, the company’s Chief Marketing Officer has confirmed some of its features. Through a post on Weibo, CMO Xu Qi Chase confirmed that the phone will be launching on the 5th of September. His post gave out details related to its battery, design as well as processor.

The phone is thus confirmed by him to have a Snapdragon 712 SoC with a 4035mAh battery that recharges using 20W VOOC fast charge technology. It will have a UFS 2.1. Flash speed memory and will run on the ColorOS 6, which is Redmi’s own operating system based on Android Pie. On the body, Chase has confirmed that the phone will have a 3.5 mm audio jack, a fingerprint scanner and a USB Type-C port/ Furthermore, the phone is confirmed to have a 48 MP Sony sensor.

The phone has the same processor as the Realme 5 pro. As per previous hints from the company and leaks, the handset might be a rebranded version of the Realme 5 Pro for China.
