The Phone could come with a price starting at USD 399.

Apple’s iPhone SE was a hit amongst its many fans who loved the small form factor handset. While Apple seems to have stopped producing any more SE sequels ahead and concentrated on the next generation flagships, fans still seem to prefer the SE and we can still see Apple selling a few too many of these handsets. However, with new reports about the iOS 13 to stop support on the older models, the iPhone SE will also see the axe.

And if that is true, the iPhone SE will probably lose all value that it holds today. To probably ensure that its small-screen fans stay with the brand, Apple could rethink the iPhone SE with a sequel.

According to a new report by ThinkApple, the Cupertino tech giant is going to announce the iPhone SE 2 this year. As early as this Spring.

Details about the new device are very scant and we are yet to know if the specifications would remain the same, sans the processor and camera.

Another rumour that was linked to the same news stated that the iPhone SE 2 will also sport FaceID and feature a notch on the top and instead of a 4.0-inch display, Apple would go in for a 4.7-inch display to help gain space taken by the notch.

While fans could see the change in display making the device larger than usual, it seems Apple is already taken this into consideration. While the display may be larger, the handset would stay the same in terms of dimensions as Apple would adopt the same design language as that of its flagships — larger screen with reduced bezels.

Also, similar to the iPhone XR, the SE 2 will also make do with a single rear camera.

All of this information seems to be rumoured as no reliable sources are yet confirming this report. However, we would be tuned for more information on this topic.
