Apple MacBook Air is currently priced at $999 (approximately Rs 65,000).

There’s some good news for all the MacBook Air fans, Apple might release its most affordable and powerful 13-inch laptop for a cheaper price this year. According to 9to5Mac, the most reliable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has come up with a new pair of investor notes on the company, which states that Apple is planning to release the 13-inch MacBook Air for a much cheaper price.

Kuo suggests that Apple will release a new MacBook Air “with a lower price tag” at Q2 this year. The analyst also predicts that this decrease in the already affordable MacBook Air might push MacBook shipments up by 10-15 per cent this year.

Apple sells its current MacBook Air at $999 (approximately Rs 65,000), which happens to be cheaper and affordable than the other Mac line-up from the company. This is why it’s been the most popular choice among users such as students and other MacOS fanatics since the product had launched.

Kuo’s new notes have also spill beans about other products from Apple that are supposed to be released this year. He says that KGI is “positive” about the release of a refreshed model of Airpods later this year. As for the new iPhones, Kuo focuses on the entry-level 6.1-inch model and says this iPhone will make a strong year for suppliers such as Unimicron (a private chip manufacturer) and the company has also partnered with Wistron and Pegatron companies.

So, this leaves us whether this much affordable 13-inch laptop can make a difference in sales since Apple has been neglecting this model from past two years without any upgrade options.
