Moto G6 and Moto G6 Play to launch in India today

In less than a couple of hours, Motorola will take the wraps off the Moto G6 and Moto G6 Play in India. The Lenovo-owned Motorola brand will be showcasing the handsets at their launch event in Delhi. Motorola has partnered with Twitter India to live stream the event and fans from all across the globe can tune in to see the launch of these two handsets on Moto Showtime.

Rachna Lather, marketing head, Motorola Mobility India, said that through this partnership with Twitter India, they will be unveiling their new products — Moto G6 and Moto G6 Play in an entertaining and engaging manner.

In a statement released by Motorola, the brand states that people can tweet #Motog6 and #Motog6play to utilize the custom emoji and check out the live conversations in a single view.

Taranjeet Singh, country director, at Twitter said that they were excited to collaborate with Motorola for their special live stream experience to celebrate their latest mobile phone launch on Twitter. The launch is scheduled to begin at 11:45 on June 4, 2018.

The Moto G6 features a 5.7″ Full HD Max Vision display delivers vivid colours and fine details. The handset comes with the highly talked about 18:9 aspect ratio with a ratio of 1080 x 2160 pixels. The 3D glass back stands out among other premium smartphones. It comes loaded with a Qualcomm SDM450 Snapdragon 450 chipset and an Octa-core 1.8 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU. It comes in two options, 64GB with 4GB RAM and a 32GB variant with 3GB RAM.

It comes with a dual camera setup on the rear with a 12MP and 5MP shooters. The front-facing camera is rated at 8MP. The handset comes fitted with a non-removable 3000mAh battery. The Moto G6 will be available in different colour options such as Deep Indigo, Silver, Blush and Black.

As of now, the price is not available, but one can expect it to be priced competitively in the mid-range smartphone segment.
