HMD expected to launch Nokia 9 on January 19: Report

New report suggest that HMD Global is planning to launch Nokia 9 on January 19 alongside the 2018 version of the Nokia 8.

HMD Global’s upcoming premium flagship has been doing rounds in the rumour mill for the past few weeks. A new report suggests that HMD Global is reportedly planning to launch its flagship smartphone — Nokia 9 on January 19 alongside the 2018 version of the Nokia 8. 

An earlier report says that the Nokia 9 was expected to launch by the end of this year but it seems the company has some other plans.

According to MyDrivers, both the smartphones — Nokia 9 and Nokia 8 will have customised experience for the Chinese market and hence may come with a custom ROMs.

Moreover, the leaked images suggest that the Nokia 9 with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage will be available in China for CNY 3,699 (approximately Rs 36,000), while the 6GB RAM and 128GB variant will be available for CNY 4,199 (approximately Rs 40,900).

If the rumours are to be believed the smartphone is expected to feature a 5.5-inch QHD display and would have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. The processor might come clubbed with 4GB of RAM, Adreno 540 GPU and 64GB of inbuilt storage. The smartphone might have USB Type-C port and is likely to run Android Oreo.
