Samsung to revive India's tablet market this year
The electronics company, which once flooded the market with its tablets, is hopeful to increase the sale of the product yet again.
Offering various products like computers, laptops, smartphones and tablets, Samsung has gained immense popularity in the Indian market over the time. Zooming in on smartphones and tablets, the company is known to offer its customers devices which fit into various price range.
With the sale of the tablets experiencing a dip in the past quarters, the company is confident of its revival in the Indian market this year and with the launch of its first 4G tablet, Galaxy Tab A 7.0, in the sub-Rs 10,000 category. It is priced at Rs 9,500, features a 4000mAh battery, providing up to 9 hours of video playback.
Vishal Kaul, Director of Samsung India commented on the same. He said, “Tablets are more of companion devices and we have been focusing on the various use cases of this form factor. We are providing our customers a device that is the perfect blend of refined design, superior display great performance and non-stop entertainment. It caters to ‘on-the-go’ and ‘me-time’ needs of consumers, thereby acting as a perfect companion for their active lifestyle. We are confident that the Galaxy Tab A 7.0 will do well.”
Kaul said the consumer segment should see sales picking up with data becoming more affordable and increased availability of quality content.
