Nokia 5 with 3GB RAM variant launched in India

The Nokia 5 was originally launched in June this year but has only been available in the 2GB RAM variant all this while.

The smartphone runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box with a promised upgrade to Android Oreo.

HMD Global led Nokia has announced a 3GB RAM variant of the Nokia 5 for the Indian market at a price of Rs 13,499. The Nokia 5 will be available exclusively on Flipkart for a week, starting 7 November.

The Nokia 5 was originally launched in June this year but has only been available in the 2GB RAM variant all this while. The smartphone comes in two colours — Matte Black and Tempered Blue. Apart from the upgraded RAM, everything else remains the same.

The Nokia 5 features a 5.2-inch HD display protected by Corning Gorilla glass. The device is powered by the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 430 processor and comes with 16GB onboard storage, which can be expanded up to 128GB. The handset sports a 13MP rear camera with PDAF and an 8MP front camera. The smartphone runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box with a promised upgrade to Android Oreo.

On the connectivity front, it comes with 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 4.1, FM radio with RDS, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC for sharing, ANT, Micro USB with OTG and 3.5mm audio jack. The handset packs a 3000mAh battery.
