Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+ users taste Oreo in new OTA update

Google’s next version of Android dubbed as ‘Android Oreo’ is a subtle upgrade and brings in some new cool features to the Android platform. This new version of Android has already rolled out to Pixel and Nexus smartphones. According to some reports, Samsung has now begun testing the Android Oreo update for the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus models.
Samsung has lately kicked off the Oreo Beta program for the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 plus. The new update is available for public testing through ‘Samsung Experience 9.0’ in South Korea, the US and the UK. Users can sign up for the beta registration by logging into the Samsung Members App. Samsung Experience 9.0’ is based on the latest version of the OS built on the Android Oreo UI and UX. The flagship Galaxy series device was originally launched with Android 7.1 Nougat earlier this year.
The update certainly brings a list of features that Google has provided on a stock version of Android Oreo. The new update is equipped with a customizable system for managing notification system which will be prioritised with better interaction without entering the application. The update also brings a new picture-in-picture mode (PIP) that will enable the users to participate in a video conference or watching a YouTube video, displayed in a floating window while surfing the web or accessing other applications.
