Samsung is expected to introduce its Galaxy Note 8 smartphone on 23rd August at its ‘Unpacked’ event but there are already rumours regarding the Galaxy S9 — Samsung’s 2018 flagship smartphone floating on the internet. The latest speculation suggests that the smartphone is going to come packed with an even larger battery than what the Galaxy S8 packed.

“Samsung is working on a new type of motherboard that uses substrate-like PCB technology that allows chipset manufacturers to include additional layers of components without increasing the size of the whole board,” reported TechRadar. This is expected to build up a larger room for the battery in the smartphone. Sources even go on to suggest that the larger battery will only come equipped in the Exynos variant of the Galaxy S9 smartphone. In other words, larger batteries won’t come equipped in the Qualcomm Snapdragon version.
