Vivo S1 launches starting at Rs 17,990

Smartphone manufacturer Vivo complete five years in India in 2019. To celebrate the fact, the brand kicked off their new S series in the country by launching the new Vivo S1 on Wednesday.

The Vivo S1 is a mid-range device that looks stunning and feels compact. The smartphone packs a 6.38-inch AMOLED screen and runs on a MediaTek Helio P65 Octa-core SoC. There's a 32MP front facing camera in the phone's dew drop notch, and the rear packs a triple camera setup comprising a 16MP Sony IMX499 main sensor with an 8MP Ultra-Wide and 2MP Depth sensor.

The phone is powered by a 4500mAh battery that supports reverse charging as well for your other gadgets like fitness trackers via an OTG connector. There is also support for 18W 'dual engine' fast charging.

The phone also has a dedicated button to trigger Google Assistant, similar to Samsung's Bixby button. The headphone jack is still there, there is no USB-C, and there's a dedicated micro SD card slot that is expandable upto 256GB.

The 4GB/128GB variant of the Vivo S1 is priced at Rs 17,990, the 6GB/64GB variant at Rs 18,990, while the 6GB/128GB model comes for Rs 19,990.

The 4GB/128GB variant of the phone will be available for purchase from August 8 and the other two variants will be available at a later date. The phone can be purchased on Amazon as well offline stores.
