Samsung launches Galaxy C8 with dual camera and face recognition

Samsung has launched its Galaxy C8 smartphone for the Chinese market. The device comes equipped with a dual camera setup and also uses facial recognition technology. The company is yet to announce the pricing and availability of the smartphone.
As per the specifications, The Galaxy C8 sports a 5.5-inch full-HD Super AMOLED display with 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution and is powered by a an unspecified octa-core processor. The smartphone comes in 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage and 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage option and also offers memory expansion up to 256GB and dual-SIM functionality.
The smartphone boasts a dual camera setup comprising of a 13MP sensor with an f/1.7 aperture and a secondary 5-megapixel sensor with an f/1.9 aperture. For selfies, it packs a 16MP front facing shooter with an f/1.9 aperture. The dual camera setup offers a ‘Dual Photo’ mode that allows user to adjust the focus after taking the pictures.
The Galaxy C8 also incorporates the facial recognition feature that enables the user to unlock their phone just by facing towards the screen. The smartphone also has an Always-on display seen on other Samsung smartphones.
On the connectivity front, the smartphone offers 4G connectivity, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 3.5mm headphone jack, and micro-USB port. It draws power from a 3000mAh battery and will be available in Black, Gold and Pink colour options.
