Google's latest ad joins Samsung in making fun of the iPhone X
The latest Pixel 2 commercial highlights the Pixel 2's smart AI-based software and their unlimited storage.
Love it or hate it, the iPhone X is getting attention all over the world. Anyone with the means to afford one can be found outside the nearest Apple store. Archrival Samsung wasn’t too happy about this and came out with an advert (take a look), framing the iPhone for kids. However, it seems that Apple’s other rivals have also been looking to take a dig at the iPhone X, specifically its biggest rival from the same soil — Google.
Google has released a new commercial for the Pixel 2 on the Internet. The commercial shows all the smart software tricks that the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL can pull out — turning off lights, suggesting weather, great night time photography and Google Assistant. In the midst of these features, they show a lady asking about storage space, to which an iOS-inspired notification pops up, showing ‘Storage full’.
This has been shown in the commercial to flaunt the unlimited cloud storage space that Pixel 2 users enjoy. The iPhone X also comes with iCloud online storage but one has to pay for it if 5GB becomes inadequate. Pixel 2 comes with free, full 4K resolution and unlimited Google Photos storage until January 15, 2021, making it a better deal over the iPhone X for those who prefer storage space over anything else.
Google is trying its best to push the Pixel 2 into the consideration of those who are planning to get the iPhone X. To be honest, the Pixel 2 hasn’t had an uneventful launch, with several users complaining about a dull display on the bigger Pixel 2 XL (Google has already rolled out an update for that). With the iPhone X’s arrival, it makes things difficult for Google to convince consumers to consider their latest creation, even over the likes of its Android brothers from Samsung and HTC.
