Certain iPhones have been banned in Germany.

Last year, when Apple launched unveiled the (PRODUCT) RED variant of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, fans of the brand went berserk and rushed to get red iPhones for them. The (PRODUCT) RED iPhone not only captured the hearts of the consumers but also encourages several other manufacturers to go for a racy red coloured variant of several popular smartphone models. It seems that Apple is going to repeat the same phenomenon with the latest iPhone 8 models.

MacRumors got their hands on a Virgin Mobile memo that revealed Apple’s intention to release (PRODUCT) RED versions of the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. How soon? The memo mentions that Apple could release it today for pre-booking and start shipping by this month’s end. The memo doesn’t mention the price or any other specific feature of the rumoured red iPhones though.

It remains to be seen as to how Apple will implement the red paint scheme on the new iPhone 8 models. The iPhone 8 series features a glass rear panel, which could require a different shade of red hue to please the eyes. The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus had metal bodies and therefore, flaunted bright red rear panels with a white-coloured bezels.

Rumours about a gold-coloured iPhone X are also doing rounds. However, no proof of such a product has been unearthed from anywhere. If Apple is to release the red variants of the iPhone 8 today, it will certainly help Apple in achieving good sales figures at a time when the market slows down.
