Will India get the 6GB variant of HTC U11?
The 2017 flagship with the popular 'Edge Sense' feature is tipped to be available in Asian countries with 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage.
HTC unveiled its flagship model for 2017 – the U11, a month ago with the highly anticipated "Edge Sense" feature. The smartphone has a great build and the latest specifications to compete with the likes of Samsung Galaxy S8, Apple iPhone 7 and Google Pixel. The smartphone was available only in a few western countries till now and it seems that HTC is gearing up to bring the 'edgy' smartphone with higher specifications to the Asian shores as well.
A leak by popular tipster LlabTooFer has revealed that HTC will be launching the U11 in China, Taiwan, Malasia, Singapore, India, Hong Kong, Russia, Saudi Arabia and the Philippines. These countries will exclusively get the 6GB RAM variant along with 128GB of internal storage. The U11 in these countries will also be having Dual-SIM configuration as well. This makes sense as the Asian countries provide a lot of competition to the international brands from the likes of local brands like Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, Gionee and much more.
To recall, HTC gave the U11 the latest Snapdragon 835 processor from Qualcomm. Other specs include a 12-megapixel main camera with autofocus, BSI sensor, optical image stabilisation f/1.7 aperture, and dual LED flash. Shooting modes include HDR Boost, manual, panorama, face detection, hyper-lapse, slow motion, and 4K video. The front-facing camera has a 16-megapixel sensor. HTC selected a 3,000mAh battery that supports Quick Charge 3.0 via the USB-C port. Like the U Ultra, the U11 nixes the 3.5mm headset jack but includes an adapter.
The smartphone also has micro sensors under the side frame to provide intuitive gestures, which is also known as Edge Sense. It also comes with Google Assitant, Amazon Alexa and HTC Sense Companion voice assistant.
