Flipkart's camera-centric smartphone with dual cameras to be called Capture+
Flipkart's Billion brand will launch a midrange camera-centric smartphone with dual rear cameras and stock Android.
The budget smartphone segment is currently seeing a lot of activity from established players such as Samsung and Xiaomi as well as from new entrants such as 10.or and Infinix. Flipkart, who has been selling some of the most popular budget smartphones from these brands, is now looking to roll out its own lineup of smartphones. They will start with a camera-centric smartphone under the Billion sub-brand.
The smartphone will be called Billion Capture+ and will flaunt dual rear cameras, according to Flipkart’s dedicated web page for the phone. While the company hasn’t detailed the name of the chipset that will be powering the phone, the company is happy to boast about using stock Android Nougat along with unlimited cloud storage. The smartphone will be able to snap bokeh shots with its dual camera setup, apart from a special ‘super night mode’.
It seems that the Capture+ will be sporting a metallic rear panel. It will sport a full HD display, which could be using a 5.5-inch LCD panel. The company also hints at some sort of fast charging technology. The smartphone will be officially launched on November 15 along with multiple offers.
