OnePlus 5 beats Galaxy S8+, iPhone 7 Plus

The handset showed up on Geekbench website, along with some information about its performance.

Rumors regarding the OnePlus 5 smartphone have long been emerging online. Now, the handset was spotted on GeekBench benchmarking website along with a few details regarding the device.

GSMArena claims to have received an exclusive screenshot from a “very credible source,” revealing the OnePlus 5 benchmark scorecard on GeekBench. According to the information provided on the website, the results show an impressive score of 1963 (single-core) and 6687 score (multi-core), topping the GeekBench 4 list.

The smartphone even managed to outperform both, Samsung Galaxy S8+ and iPhone 7 Plus in multi-tasking performance. While Galaxy S8+ scored 1978 and 6375 in single-core and multi-core performance respectively; iPhone 7 Plus managed to score 3473 and 5667 respectively.

Furthermore, OnePlus 5 smartphone is expected to run on Android 7.1.1 OS with OnePlus’ Oxygen OS customisation.

Previously, it has been reported that the smartphone may be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 SoC and will offer a minimum of 6GB of RAM.

The Verge recently published a report that indicated that the OnePlus 5 smartphone is set to arrive in summer. However, no date is mentioned yet.
