Xiaomi to bring Redmi 4 to India on May 16
The company is expected to unveil the device for the Indian market on May 16.
Xiaomi seems to be gearing up to launch its Redmi 4 in India next week. However the company is yet to announce the launch date of the device. Company’s Manu Kumar Jain took to Twitter confirming the launch of a new Redmi smartphone, though he didn’t specify the name of the upcoming device.
Since the Redmi 4A wasn’t the successor of the Redmi 3S, meaning the Redmi 4 will be the next phone to launch in India. Xiaomi is expected to price the device sub Rs 10,000.
As per the specifications, the Redmi 4 launched in China last year, the Pro edition sports a 5-inch 1080p display and is powered by a Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor clocked at 2.0 Ghz paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.
The standard Redmi 4 variant houses a fingerprint sensor for added security. It is powered by a Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor clocked at 1.4Ghz with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage which is expandable using a microSD card. It is equipped with a 12MP rear camera, while there is a 5Mp front facing camera also on board. The device is fuelled by a 4100mAh battery.
