Unlike most smartphones that come with the front-facing camera cutout at the side, the Redmi smartphone will feature it in the centre.

There have been rumours about Xiaomi-owned Redmi preparing to introduce a yet unnamed handset with seriously impressive specs and if the latest leaked video is anything to go by, then it is all but confirmed that the brand will launch a smartphone that will rival the Galaxy S10, OnePlus 7 and other flagships that will be launched in the first half of the year.

As per a report by GSMArena, the Redmi handset will come sporting 2019’s hottest processor, the Snapdragon 855 and will also come with flagship challenging features such as a punch-hole display and triple rear shooters. Unlike most smartphones that come with the front-facing camera cutout at the side, the Redmi smartphone will feature it in the centre. It may not be the best design decision but it shows that Xiaomi is ready to try something different. Also, we see that the smartphone comes with minimum bezels at the sides with slightly thicker ones on its forehead and chin.

The rear plays home to a triple camera configuration located at the side that’s accompanied by a LED flash. If anyone had hopes that Xiaomi would add an in-display fingerprint scanner here, it seems that you’re hard out of luck as it comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Apart from this, the rear features a glossy back panel and as of yet its unknown if it is plastic or glass. But considering the Redmi Note 7 series feature a Gorilla Glass body, it’s more than likely that this handset will also boast the same protection.
