With August officially upon us, rumours regarding the upcoming iPhone 11 handsets appeared to suggest that Apple would be launching three new iPhones this year. These new handsets are said to be the iPhone 11, the iPhone 11 Max and the iPhone 11R. However, if a new report by MacRumors is anything to go by, then there could be two new handsets that come with the Pro moniker. This could suggest that Apple may launch up to five new iPhones this year.

As per MacRumors, an anonymous Twitter account that has a proven track record claims that at least one of the new iPhone handsets will feature ‘Pro’ in its branding with the upcoming iPhone be called the iPhone 11 Pro.

This massive leak comes via a mysterious Twitter account called CoinX; who in the past has accurately leaked several details about upcoming Apple products in the past year or so. CoinX has accurately predicted the names of the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and the iPhone XR before anyone else. He also predicted that the headphone jack would be removed on Apple’s 2018 iPads.

Earlier, on August 4, MacRumors also received an unsubstantiated tip which claims that the iPhone with the triple-camera lens would be called the iPhone 11 Pro and the Apple-dedicated website states, “This is fact." It would be a disservice to our readers to simply pass along any unsubstantiated tip we receive, but it is now worth mentioning in light of this tweet.”

What this means is that Apple could launch the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Max, iPhone 11R and an all-new iPhone 11 Pro. However, this is just based on guesswork as there is no concrete information regarding the same.

As per a related report by Digital Trends, the tech-focused website takes this rumour a step further by claiming, “Apple, however, may be planning to launch two new completely new iPhones this year. There are rumours that the three successors to last year’s iPhone will only receive internal updates, while the two new iPhones will be the ones that will feature triple-lens cameras. It remains unclear whether the iPhone Pro name will be given to the successor of one of last year’s models, if Apple will only release three iPhones this year, or if it will be given to the two new iPhones if Apple is planning to launch five new iPhones.”

As of now, let’s just assume that Apple will stick to three new iPhones with the branding being — iPhone 11, iPhone 11R and iPhone 11 Pro.
