Although it's not been too long that the trend of fitting two rear cameras has arrived, it seems the mechanism is about to get outdated. Yes, the next step is dual-camera setup on the front as well and Sony is expected to become the next player to introduce it after brands such as Honor and OPPO.

A Japanese publication SumahoInfo have acquired a leaked image of a quad camera set up. The image consist of two pairs of unfitted camera assemblies. Among the two pairs, one seems to be that of the front panel while the other appears to be the main rear camera combination.

Although there's no confirmation about it, the source believes that the camera lenses belong to Sony's upcoming flagship Xperia XZ 3.  The lenses look similar to the cameras which come fitted on the company's current flagship Xperia XZ 2 Premium.

Unlike other brands who had started equipping their phones with dual rear cameras a while back, Sony has just recently ventured into the territory. However, with the four cameras on its phone, the brand may go a step a further of its rivals.
