Yes, Samsung Galaxy Note 10 will be expensive but still cheaper than iPhone XS

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 debut is just around the corner and excitement surrounding its official unveiling is ramping up quickly. While the Galaxy Note 10 series has been the subject of a wide number of leaks and rumours, the only thing missing that’s to be known is the price. And now, Roland Quandt from WinFuture.de has just revealed the prices for the upcoming handsets.

As per a tweet, Quandt states, “Samsung Galaxy Note 10 / Note 10 Plus start at 256GB in Europe, priced at 999 / 1149 Euro respectively. (Disclaimer: based on what retailers are saying, may change depending on markets and other factors)”

While Quandt admits that the price will change in markets and depending on other factors, the price in India isn’t going to be as exorbitant. In fact, it should be a lot cheaper than the iPhone XS and XS Max which are one of the most expensive handsets in the world. If history repeats itself, which it should, the Galaxy Note 10’s price in India should be similar to what the Galaxy Note 9 retailed for — give or take a few thousands here and there. However, unlike previous years, there is also going to be a ‘Plus’ variant which would cost a pretty paisa more and could cost the same as the lowest-end iPhone XS. With that being said, it will still be a way better deal than the iPhone XS series which are nearing the end of its product cycle to give way for the iPhone 11, a smartphone whose price is going to make the current generation models appear to be a steal.

As per a report by BGR who claims that the pricing of the Galaxy Note 10 shouldn’t be a concern, the author Chris Smith writes, “I said before you shouldn’t care about these prices, and I’m going to explain why. First of all, the base Note 10/Note 10+ version will ship with 256GB of storage onboard, which is double the Galaxy S10’s base memory. The Note 10 might not support microSD storage, so that’s one reason why Samsung is making sure you have enough built-in flash memory if you buy the cheapest Note 10.”

Apart from this, Samsung will be bundling new wired USB-C noise-cancelling headphones with the Galaxy Note 10. Besides the Type-C earphones, Samsung has traditionally thrown in accessories at greatly discounted prices such as the Galaxy Buds and the Galaxy Watch which makes the upgrade even sweeter.

The reports ends by stating, “But wait, it gets even better. If you don’t care about any preorder deals and free stuff from Samsung, and you’re willing to wait a few more months, you’ll probably score an even cheaper Note 10. This is what happens in the Android ecosystem right now, thanks to the intense competition at the high-end of the market. The Galaxy S10 dropped in value significantly a few months after the phone’s launch, and it’s already a lot more affordable than a few months ago. The same thing will happen to the Note 10 soon, as there’s no reason for this Samsung flagship to retain its value better than the S10 did.”
