Apple releases iOS 11.0.3 for bugs in older iPhones
iOS 11.0.3 fixes some bugs related to audio and haptic feedback for iPhone 7 devices.
Apple’s latest iOS 11 has been grabbing attention lately for all the wrong reasons. Apple users around the world have reported multiple bugs on iOS 11 for the new iPhone 8 devices as well as older iPhone versions. Apple has released two major bug fixes over the last two weeks and now there’s a new one.
Released as iOS 11.0.3, the third patch aims to fix some bugs pertaining to older Apple devices. Starting with last year’s iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, the latest patch fixes the audio issues for these handsets. The third patch also fixes bugs related to the haptic feedback that some users were receiving on this version of iPhone.
The iOS 11.0.3 also fixes some issue related to the touch responsiveness on some iPhone 6S devices that were using aftermarket display panels. Apple’s releases notes for this update specifically mention — “Non-genuine replacement displays may have compromised visual quality and may fail to work correctly. Apple-certified screen repairs are performed by trusted experts who use genuine parts.”
As with all iOS updates, users will have to check ‘Software Update’ in the Settings menu of their iPhones and iPads.
