This Vivo gaming phone claims the fastest Snapdragon 855+

Vivo’s upcoming gaming phone, the IQOO Pro 5G will feature Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 855+ processor. Vivo recently confirmed this via their accont on Chinese social media site Weibo. Not just that, the company even claims that the IQOO Pro’s Snapdragon 855+ SoC will be the fastest among other phones sporting the processor.

While we are yet to find out how Vivo will exactly do this, it will probably be via a software tweak, like Huawei did with its GPU Turbo.

The phone also appeared in a TENAA listing, which showcased more of the spec sheet. The screen on the IQOO is a 6.41-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel, with an in-display fingerprint reader in it. Also present is a triple camera setup with 48MP, 13MP and 12MP sensors. The front camera is a 12MP sensor.

The listings on TENAA also reveal that the phone ‘s Snapdragon 855+ SoC will clock at 2.96Ghz and will be coupled with 12GB RAM and a 512GB storage unit on board. The IQOO will also be powered by a 4410mAh battery and will support fast charging at 44W. There is likely going to be Android 9.0 Pie on the device.

The phone will weigh about 217 grams and will measure 158.7x75.7x9.3 mm.
