Moto E4 and E4 Plus to come in a premium build and more
Motorola's second affordable lineup adorns premium look, flaunts fingerprint scanner on the Plus variant.
Few days back, we knew that Motorola was coming up with the 4th generation Moto E twins – courtesy leaked FCC certifications. Now, we have fair idea of what the Moto E4 and the Moto E4 Plus could look like!
Evan Blass has given out the press images of the upcoming Moto E4 and E4 Plus side-by-side in his tweet. As per the images, it seems the Moto E4 has got rid of the entry-level Moto phone image – thanks to the Moto C and Moto C plus taking its place.
The phone adorns a metal body for the both the standard as well as the Plus versions. Both the phones adopt Motorola’s new design language of flaunting the “Moto” badge on the front panel. There’s a front LED flash along with a selfie shooter on both the phones. However, there’s a slight difference between the two variants.
The E4 seems to have a flat glass screen with no proximity sensor whereas the E4 Plus has a 2.5D curved glass with a proximity sensor. The E4 Plus also has a fingerprint scanner, like the Moto G5, under the screen. The E4 Plus also has a chrome-lining for its earpiece, something which the standard E4 lacks.
In another tweet, slashleaks has given out a press image of the E4 plus. In his leak, the E4 Plus shows its metallic rear panel which seems to be irremovable. There’s a circular camera module inspired from the Moto G5 while the metallic rear seems to be picked up straight from the Moto M. The Moto logo sits in the center with the speaker grilled situated in the lower left corner.
We know what specifications the Moto E4 and E4 Plus could feature under them in our previous article. With all those in knowledge, the Moto E 4th generation might give a tough competition to Xiaomi’s Redmi 3S and the upcoming Redmi 4S series, LeEco Le2, Lenovo Vibe K5 and A7700 as well as various budget offerings from Samsung and Micromax.
It remains to be seen whether these leaks could shape up the Moto E4 and E4 Plus to be a desirable affordable smartphone. We have to wait for an official confirmation for these leaks.
