Huawei unveils Mate 9 Pro with dual camera and curved screen

The new variant will come in Champagne Gold, Space Gray, Mocha Brown, Moonlight Silver, and Ceramic White colour options.

Huawei has unveiled a premium variant of its Mate 9 smartphone dubbed as the Mate 9 Pro. The new variant will come in Champagne Gold, Space Gray, Mocha Brown, Moonlight Silver, and Ceramic White colour options and will be available in China.

As for the specification, the Mate 9 Pro comes with a 5.5-inch QHD curved AMOLED display with 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution. It is powered by a 2.5GHz octa-core Kirin 960 processor coupled with 6GB of RAM. It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with Emotion UI 5.0 on the top.

On the photography front, the device boasts a dual camera setup with a 20-megapixel monochrome lens and 12-megapixel RGB sensors with Leica lenses with a dual tone flash. The camera also has OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation). It also packs an 8MP front facing camera for selfie enthusiasts.

The device has 64GB / 128GB internal storage options and has 4GB and 6GB RAM variants. The 4GB variant is priced at CNY 4,699 (approx Rs 46,500), while the 6GB RAM variant will be selling at 5,299 (approx Rs 52,500).
