Apple informs app developers to embrace the iPhone X's Notch
The company says, All the new apps submitted to App Store from now must support iPhone X's Super Retina Display.
Apple through its email has informed the developers that all the new apps submitted to App Store from now on must support iPhone X’s Super Retina Display.
This essentially means that all the upcoming apps along with the existing apps should embrace the notch. This new App Store guideline gets implemented from April 2018. And, also all the developers should build their new apps using iOS 11 SDK from April. The company has informed this news in an email sent to developers, to get adapted to the latest iOS 11 features like Core ML, SiriKit and ARKit.
This new guideline ensures that the upcoming app developers are using latest development tools from Apple. According to 9to5Mac, 'Requiring compilation with the iOS 11 SDK does not necessarily mean the apps must support new features.’
However, Apple has set this deadline only for the new apps as of now but might implement this for the existing apps as well in the future. Most of the new app developers are already designing their apps with the iPhone X’s notch as the top priority.
