ASUS misses previous deadline for Pie update, confirms update by April 15
ASUS earlier promised a timely firmware update to Android Pie on their Zenfone series smartphones.
ASUS Zenfone series was supposed to get the Android Pie update long ago, but the company missed the earlier deadline that they had announced. The Zenfone series was due for an Android Pie update long ago, but now the company has promised an Android Pie roll out for their phones by April 15.
The ASUS Zenfone Max Pro M1, Zenfone Max Pro M2 and Zenfone Max M2 will benefit under the Android Pie firmware update roll out. While the firmware is still in test mode, users are welcomed to try out the beta mode to test it on their own till the final version is released a month later.

The company announced on their Facebook post that they were ‘deeply sorry’ for missing the previously announced deadline.
“Dear Zenfone family, we deeply apologize for missing our previously announced deadline for the Android Pie update. We promise it won’t be the same this time around. We’re bringing the Android Pie to the Zenfone Max Pro M1, Zenfone Max Pro M2 and Zenfone Max M2 latest by April 15th. Thank you all for your patience and continuous support. We promise this Pie will be worth the wait.
