The OnePlus 5 is supposed to have the Snapdragon 835 chipset along with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

The OnePlus 5 has been the centre of focus for all tech websites and bloggers. Everyone has been talking about the device, anticipating a smartphone that will outshine the previous year’s OnePlus 3T by multiple folds. Even OnePlus was excited to drop teasers of the next flagship killer two weeks before its launch.  The company has already started taking registration of the device in China before it gets launched on June 22. However, the interest in the flagship smartphone seems to be much higher than what OnePlus had expected.

A Chinese retailer, called Jingdong.com, had opened registrations for the OnePlus 5 ahead of its launch. The website shows that registrations have already crossed 3,00,000 within 48 hours of its initiation. The number is still on the rise, with 3,51,469 and counting. Despite many showing disappointment in the similarity of the OnePlus 5 with parent company’s Oppo R11 in terms of design, it seems that people are excited about the OnePlus 5.

As speculated till now, the OnePlus 5 is supposed to have the Snapdragon 835 chipset along with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It will surely have a dual rear camera as evident from the officially released teaser of the handset. The company also confirmed the presence of UFS storage.

The OnePlus 5 will be globally unveiled on 20 June, followed by launches in various Asian countries, including India, on June 22.
