OnePlus releases new 4.1.0 update, based on Nougat 7.1.1
The new update brings in security patches and a host of other features
Chinese smartphone manufacturer, OnePlus has announced a new update which will be pushed to the OnePlus 3 and 3T. The latest update brings security patch, as well as some nice improvements.
If users are running a stable OxygenOS version, then they should be looking for version 4.1.0, which is based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. The update also adds the latest March security patch, so users will be safe from many of the exploits discovered in the last couple of weeks.
OnePlus has also announced alongside the March security update, a way to take expanded screenshots, as well as improved picture taking of moving objects with blur reduction.
The Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity have been enhanced as well, so users should experience that right away when using these features. The new update also brings improved video stability when recording.
Just like every other OxygenOS update, OnePlus has included some more than welcome general bug fixes, but no additional details are offered.
Users who own the OnePlus 3 or 3T should know that the OTA (over the air) update is delivered in stages, so everyone should be getting it in the coming days. Only a small percentage of users will receive OxygenOS 4.1.0 today.
