Google rolled out its latest OS update – Android 7.1.2 Nougat to it’s major devices such as Google Pixel and Pixel XL. The update comes with several improvements and bug fixes. However, it appears like the update has managed to cause some serious issues on devices especially with regard to its fingerprint scanner.

According to Android Police, some Pixel and Nexus users who have updated their devices with Android 7.1.2 Nougat update are apparently facing troubles with their fingerprint sensor. The fingerprint scanner on several devices such as Pixel, Pixel XL, Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P have stopped working all together.

The users have even tried to resolve the issue by removing pre-existing fingerprints and starting from scratch. However, an error message turns up, preventing them from add new prints to the device.

Google is yet to acknowledge the issue. Once they do, the company will surely start working on a fix for the same.

Separately, Pixel and Pixel XL users also faced issues relating to their Bluetooth setup. Ever since the February security patch update, the smartphones have suddenly started losing Bluetooth connectivity. The Bluetooth apparently failed to connect in cars and would suddenly get disconnected.
