Itel has recently launched the A62 in India and the highlighted features of this new smartphone is the dual rear camera setup found here that is most commonly found in handsets that cost much more than this device. Priced at Rs 7,499, the Itel A62 boasts of features such as face unlock, multi-functional fingerprint sensor, bike mode, OTG and a bokeh mode.

Available in Black, Champagne and Red, the A62 sports visible bezels on the top and bottom, so we don’t find a notched design here. The rear of the device houses that vertical dual-camera setup as well as the fingerprint sensor. The Itel branding is also embossed at the back.

The Itel A62 is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6739WA processor and it is paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage. This can be expanded upon up to 128GB using a microSD card. The handset runs on Android 8.1 Oreo. On the display front, Itel A62 sustains the itel-full-view-mania with the 5.65-inch HD+ IPS full view display at an 18:9 aspect ratio. The rear cameras used here are rated at 13MP for the primary camera and the secondary camera found here is a VGA camera. Itel has used a 5MP front-facing camera for taking selfies. The handset remains juiced up by a 3000mAh battery.

Commenting on the launch, Mr. Goldee Patnaik, Head of Marketing, Itel Business Unit said, “Itel has always strived to democratise technology for the masses at best value. With increasing growth in mobile photography amongst youth fraternity, camera on a phone has seen maximum innovations and improvements. With this insight, we have launched our first dual rear camera smartphone – A62, with full screen and multiple value added features. After receiving a superlative response on our full screen portfolio – Itel S42, A44 and A44 Pro, we are sure consumers will enjoy the vivid and enriching camera experience of A62. The powerful dual rear camera enables bokeh effect, lowlight photography and portrait images, giving an excellent photography experience.”
