Nokia X5 launched with 19:9 notched display, dual rear cameras

The Nokia X5 embraces a 5.86-inch HD+ 19:9 display with an 84 per cent screen-to-body ratio and 2.5D glass protection.

After a plethora of leaks and rumours, HMD Global has now finally launched Nokia 5X in China. The X5 is the second device in the Nokia X-series. In May this year, the company launched the Nokia 6X in China, which is the first smartphone from Nokia brand to flaunt a display notch.

The Nokia X5 embraces a 5.86-inch HD+ 19:9 display with an 84 per cent screen-to-body ratio and 2.5D glass protection. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo and the device is upgradeable to Android P. The dual SIM smartphone runs on an octa-core MediaTek Helio P60 chipset, accompanied by 3GB RAM/32GB storage, and 4GB RAM/64GB configurations, which is expandable up to 256GB. It is backed by a 3060mAh battery.

In terms of optics, there is a 13MP+5MP camera sensor along with a f/2.0 aperture and a LED flash. For selfies, the X5 features an 8MPlens with a f/2.2 aperture. The smartphone facilitates features such as portrait skin mode, built-in background blur,  HDR mode, AI image technology and other features. On the connectivity front, there is Bluetooth 4.2, USB Type-C port, 3.5mm audio jack, GPS, Wi-Fi, FM radio, and 4G VoLTE.

The Nokia X5 retails at a price of CNY 999 (approx Rs 9,999) for the 3GB RAM/2GB storage option and Rs 1399 (approx Rs 14,200) for the 4GB/64GB options. It comes in Black, Blue and White colour variant.
