Out of nowhere Redmi Note 7S to launch on May 20
Xiaomi VP Manu Jain has teased the upcoming Redmi Note 7S and it will feature a 48MP primary camera.
Earlier this year, Xiaomi announced the Redmi Note 7 series handsets which comprised of the Redmi Note 7 Pro and the Redmi Note 7. Now, the brand is set to introduce the third handset in this series called the Redmi Note 7S and it will borrow a coveted feature from the flagship Redmi Note 7 Pro — a 48MP primary camera.
As of now, the entire spec-sheet hasn’t been revealed but there are a few features that have been leaked online which confirm what the handset will boast. Being a mid-range handset, the Redmi Note 7S will come with two rear cameras. However, as of now, apart from the 48MP primary shooter, the secondary camera’s specs haven’t been detailed yet. However, as per some leaked camera samples, it’s expected that it will focus on low-light shooting as well as depth-sensing capabilities.
The Redmi Note 7S is also believed to come in a new Red colour and like the other Redmi Note 7 series of smartphones, this model will also feature Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the front and back. As is with the other models, it will also come with a rear-mounted in-display fingerprint scanner which should be as speedy as its siblings.

Up-front, the Redmi Note 7S will also retain the ‘Dot’ notch, which is basically Xiaomi’s branding for the waterdrop notch. Being a midrange handset, expect the smartphone to come with a thicker chin but slim bezels on the other three sides.
With Xiaomi set to unveil the Redmi Note 7S on May 20, expect all the features along with the pricing to be revealed by then.
