Is this a Nokia feature phone running Android?
The phone itself looks a lot like a feature phone Nokia released back in 2014.
Nokia was one of the most awaited brands in the Android ecosystem. When they finally ditched the windows series of devices and embraced Google’s own open-sourced OS, things went great for the Finnish brand.
After becoming pretty popular in the budget and mid-range brackets with their android clad devices, we now have a first peek at a device running Android by the brand that isn’t a smartphone, but looks like a feature phone from decades ago.
In a photo by 9to5Google, a feature phone is seen running what looks like a modest version of the Android operating system. There seems to be no touch screen as of now on the device and operation might rely on the keys.
A microphone icon can also be seen above the home button, which is likely a quick access to Google Assistant or Google Voice Commands. Icons for Google Chrome, YouTube, and a camera app can also be seen.
The phone itself looks a lot like a feature phone Nokia released back in 2014. With IFA not far away in September, we may get to see the device being officially unveiled and running in action there and then.
