Huawei trolls Apple! Gives free powerbanks to people queued for iPhone
Numerous people flocked in front of an Apple store waiting for the release of the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR.
Amongst all the followers of smartphone brands, Apple fans are the most loyal ones. This can be seen by the way people waiting for the new devices to roll out and everyone rushing to grab their own latest iPhone models. The same phenomenon took place in Singapore when numerous people flocked in front of an Apple store waiting for the release of the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR.
Whilst fans were wearily waiting for the launch, Huawei came up with a creative way of trolling Apple for its puny iPhone batteries and marketing its own brand. Interestingly, a Huawei representative approached the crowd and started giving away Huawei power banks, for free.
The package consisted of a 10,000mAh Huawei power bank along with a note which read “Here’s a power bank. You’ll need it. Courtesy of Huawei.” This clearly showed the Chinese brand’s intention to tease Apple and iPhone users for the quick-draining battery.
Well, this comes as no surprise as Apple devices pack in the tiniest batteries a premium smartphone can have. Amongst the iPhones launched this year, even the largest model, the iPhone XS Max, gets 3,174mAh battery while every Android smartphone starting from midrange to premium segment gets a bigger cell.
