Samsung to bring Android 7.0 for Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, Note 5 and Tab S2
The Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge are believed to be next in line to receive the update following S7 and S7 Edge.
Samsung is one of the smartphone makers that is still to roll out Android 7.0 Nougat for its smartphones. It could have been the Galaxy Note 7, but after its battery issues, the company decide to put it out of its misery and halt it’s production permanently.
Now there are reports that Samsung will be rolling out the latest version of Android for its existing devices. The Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge might be the first to receive the Android 7.0 update.
A new report claims that the company is working hard on bringing the latest Android update to majority of its devices including smartphones and tablets. The Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge are believed to be next in line to receive the update following S7 and S7 Edge. Samsung is also expected to roll out the update for Galaxy S5 and Tab S2.
This seems to be just a confirmation about the update being in works, but the company is yet to announce the time of release. It is still unclear that there will be a Galaxy Beta program for Galaxy Note 5 and Tab S2, but its good news for Samsung users that the update won’t be restricted to the latest new Samsung devices only.
