Samsung Galaxy S10 price in India revealed, gives Apple something to consider

Pre-booking of the 10th generation Galaxy trio have begun with delivery scheduled for March 6.

At the Samsung Unpacked event, the South Korean smartphone manufacturer finally unveiled their latest flagship smartphones from the Galaxy S-series. For those looking to cop the handset as quickly as possible, here is some good news for you as the pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S10e, Samsung Galaxy S10 and Samsung Galaxy S10+ have begun in India.

The Samsung Galaxy S10’s price in India has been revealed with pre-bookings having begun on Flipkart, Amazon, Paytm, Tata Cliq and the brand’s official online store. The handsets go on sale in India on March 8 and those who pre-order the device will receive it by March 6. The pre-booking will carry on till March 5 on the above-mentioned websites as well as other select retailers.

Samsung has priced the handsets attractively in India with the Galaxy S10e retailing for Rs 55,900 for the 6GB/128GB variant and it will be available in Prism Black and Prism White. The Samsung Galaxy S10 is priced at Rs 66,900 for the 8GB/128GB variant and Rs 84,900 for the 8GB/512GB version. The Galaxy S10 will be available in three colour options — Prism White, Prism Black and Prism Blue. The Galaxy S10+ starts at Rs 73,900 for the 8GB/128GB version, Rs 91,900 for the 8GB/512GB variant and Rs 1,17,900 for the 12GB/1TB configuration. The Galaxy S10+ is also available in Black, Blue and White. With Samsung pricing their handsets competitively, the brand is surely giving Apple something to consider.

If you do happen to pre-order any of the devices, you can opt-in for the recently announced Galaxy Buds for Rs 2,999 as well as the Galaxy Watch for Rs 9,999. This is a part of the launch offers. Samsung has partnered with HDFC in India as their banking partner where you can receive a cashback of Rs 6,000 on the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ and a cashback of Rs 4,000 on the Galaxy S10e.

You can also exchange your old handset and get an exchange rate of up to Rs 15,000 for the S10 (512GB) and S10+ (512GB, 1TB), Rs 6,000 for the S10 (128GB) and S10+ (128GB) and Rs 4,000 for the Galaxy S10e.

The Samsung Galaxy S10 trio runs on Android 9.0 Pie that’s laced with the company’s newest One UI on top. The Galaxy S10 comes fitted with a 6.1-inch QHD+ Curved Dynamic AMOLED Infinity O display with a 19:9 aspect ratio and a pixel density of 550ppi. The Galaxy S10+ features a 6.4-inch QHD+ Curved Dynamic AMOLED display and the 5.8-inch Galaxy S10e comes with a flat HD+ AMOLED display. The Samsung Galaxy S10 series features a 7nm octa-core Snapdragon 855 SoC in some parts of the world and the rest receive Samsung’s very own octa-core Exynos 9820 SoC. In India, we receive the latter version.

Samsung has paired the SoC with up to 8GB of RAM on the Galaxy S10; while the Galaxy S10+ features up to 12GB of RAM. The Galaxy S10e comes with 6GB and 8GB of RAM. Storage options include 128GB and 512GB for the Galaxy S10e and S10. The Samsung Galaxy S10+ is loaded with 128GB. 512GB and 1TB of storage. The trio of handsets boasts expansion slots for microSD cards.

The Samsung Galaxy S10 and S10+ come with a triple rear camera configuration that plays home to a 12MP telephoto sensor with f/2.4 autofocus, a 12MP wide-angle sensor and a 16MP ultra wide angle sensor. The Galaxy S10e features a dual rear camera setup with a 12MP wide angle sensor and a 16MP ultra wide angle sensor. For selfies, the cameras on the S10 and S10e are identical with a single 10MP sensor that supports AF. The Galaxy S10+ features a dual selfie camera setup that uses an 8MP RGB depth sensor and a 10MP f1.9 AF sensor.

The Galaxy S10 and S10+ feature an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor while the Galaxy S10e features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The Samsung Galaxy S10+ comes with a 4100mAh battery, the S10 features a 3400mAh battery and the S10e uses a 3100mAh battery.
