Cheaper iPhone X on the cards next year
The next generation iPhones are expected to carry a majority' of features from the iPhone X.
The launch of the iPhone X is a thing of the past, which means that we are now looking forward to the next generation of iPhones, which are due to be probably released in September next year. Of course, it’s expected that the next iPhone will be a continuation of the iPhone X and certain reports from China are claiming the same.
The report claims that Apple has already started working on the next generation “iPhones”. Yes, there were will be at least two iPhone models, both of which currently are known as Lisbon and Hangzhou. One of these could be the smaller model while the other one could be an answer to the flagship phablet offerings. These iPhones will be essentially an affordable version of the current iPhone X with a lower price tag. How low? We could be looking at a natural successor to this year’s iPhone 8 models; maybe the iPhone 9 that is yet to be a reality.
However, the report mentions that the new models will borrow only some features of the iPhone X. this means that the iPhone X could stay as the flagship model for the next year or two. Apple will surely want to bring FaceID to the affordable handsets as well as the gesture-based UI navigation. Therefore, it would be interesting to see what features the cheaper iPhone X successors will carry on with.
