Galaxy S8 leak: Smartphone found with on-screen home button
Samsung is expected to unveil Galaxy S8 at an event in New York in March.
An image of Samsung Galaxy S8 models, Galaxy S8 and S+, placed side-by-side has surfaced online revealing an on-screen home button to feature on both the devices.
Earlier leaks suggested the two models to differ in size, where the S8 model is said to feature a 5.8-inch display, the S8+ will feature a screen size of 6.2-inc display.
The flagship is already speculated to ditch the physical home buttons in many reports, and now the models shown in recent leaks is adding credibility to earlier reports. However, do note that none of the smartphones in the image holds Samsung’s branding on it.
The on-screen home button feature is a part of Samsung’s ‘Always on Display’, and thus will always remain available.
Based on a listing found online, the two smartphones are now rumoured to be launched in three colour variants, including Black, Gold, and Orchid Gray.
Moreover, Galaxy S8 and S+ could carry a price tag of $950 (approx. Rs 64,000) and $1050 (approx. Rs 70,000) respectively.
Samsung is expected to unveil Galaxy S8 at an event in New York in March, but before that, the smartphone giant may share some information regarding the two models at the MWC later this month.
