Budget iPhone X is a true successor to the iPhone SE
The specifications of the 6.1-inch budget iPhone reveal some interesting titbits.
Over the past few months, there have been various rumours around the phantom budget iPhone X. A new report by Hi-tech@mail.ru, (via) has detailed some of the features that will show up with this upcoming device.
As per the report, developers have come across some information about the 6.1-inch iPhone X deep in the Xcode software. The names used are "iPhone xx," "iPhone9.7" and LCP with model number "N84.
The code details that the future budget iPhone X will utilise a DCI-P3 LCD panel and Apple's A10 chipset. So Apple will not be using the latest chip in this iPhone which is what they did with the iPhone SE when it was launched as they had used an older (but still fast) chip. The report states, “the budget iPhone will actually turn out to be a successor to the iPhone SE in an iPhone 8's body and edge-to-edge display with a notch on top.”
As with the current iPhone X, the notch will house the sensors required for Face ID and the single rear camera is expected to feature a bigger sensor. As far as other specifications go, details are a bit slim at the moment, but we can expect it to have a 3GB RAM. There are also rumours that suggest that Apple may add dual-SIM capabilities with this handset, however, it may be a China-only version.
