Sony Xperia XZ3 Premium flagship leak hints 18:9 display

A new listing surfaced online suggests the new XZ3 Premium most likely featuring the new 18:9 aspect ratio screen.

Sony has set to launch new Xperia XZ3 Premium later this year at IFA 2018. And, the leaks have already started making rounds on the web, a new report suggests that this new phone is expected to be the successor to the earlier launched Xperia Z2 Premium smartphone.

A new listing on a Japanese site has showcased the new Xperia Z3 smartphone bearing a model number of H8616. The other details revealed also hints us that it has got a screen resolution of 3840x1920 (which suggests us that it might be featuring the new 18:9 aspect ratio) and running on Android 9.0 OS.

As for the specifications, the expected XZ3 will most likely be featuring 6GB of RAM and the onboard storage is expected to be up to 128GB. According to the PhoneArena report, on the camera front, the phone is expected to be carrying 19MP and 12MP rear camera sensors and a selfie camera is expected to have a 13MP selfie sensor. And, also Sony is expected to reduce the bezel size to achieve this 18:9 aspect ratio.

Though this H8616 model number doesn’t suggest that this is assigned to Xperia XZ3 Premium, earlier leaked benchmarks suggested the younger brother XZ3 is featuring H8416 model number. The earlier listing also showcased the primary specifications including Snapdragon 845 SoC.
