Siri soon to go desi with the new Apple iOS 13
Siri will have the ability to find and access content in Indian languages through conversing seamlessly with the user.
For a fact, we know that mobile phones are a very personal device and the makers of these devices abide by this fact. Always trying to make user experience as personalised as possible, following the same, American technology company, Apple is loading its iPhones with India-specific features like desi English accent for virtual assistant Siri who will now speak to the users in a more natural and in an expressive way, giving Siri the ability to speak in both male and female voices. This feature will be available on the new Apple iOS 13 which is set to arrive in India this fall.
In the new iOS 13, Siri will have the ability to find and access content in Indian languages through conversing seamlessly with the user. Several languages which define the Indian vernacular will also co-exist with English which will allow users to find content from several Indian languages accessible by voice just with a simple phrase like ‘find’ or ‘play.’ Not only will this support multi-lingual interaction but would be able to answer 'When/Where' queries for events happening around you and in the country like sports, awards, music festivals, exhibitions, summits or exams, etc.
With iOS 13, users will be able to keep track of the dates, locations and their online reservations in the calendar. During the initial setup of a new iPhone, users can choose between all 22 Indian languages, with the addition of 15 new Indian languages, Assamese, Bodo, Dogri, Kashmiri (Devanagari, Arabic), Konkani (Devanagari), Manipuri (Bangla, Meetei Mayek), Maithili, Nepali, Sanskrit, Santali (Devanagari, Ol Chiki), and Sindhi (Devanagari, Arabic).
With all this, the new iOS 13 will support many new features in order to give a complete personalised experience to the user. The iOS 13 is expected to roll out along with the new iPhones which are expected to launch later this year.
