These 12 KaiOS phones will now support Whatsapp
The app will now be available for use on 12 phones running Kai OS, eight of which run on 512MB of RAM.
After being supported outside of the android and iOS operating ecosystems, Whatsapp has now made its way to the devices powered by Kai OS. The app had recently been optimized to run on phones with 256MB and 512MB of RAM.

Just like the app did on other operating systems, Whatsapp for Kai OS comes with end-to-end encryption and support for both calls and messaging.
Feature phones primarily relied on SMS for text communication, even in an era where SMSs have been limited mostly to OTPs and promotional texts. However these users will now have access to WhatsApp and can be a part of the instant messaging ecosystem without the need of being smartphones.
About a 100 million devices with Kai OS have already been shipped worldwide and as of the third quarter of 2019, Whatsapp will be a built in app on most of these phones. Others can download the application from the Kai Store.
