The Motorola One Power comes packing a 5000mAh battery.

Motorola has taken the wraps off the One Power in India and this handset is an Android One smartphone featuring a massive 5000mAh battery. This smartphone will launch in India first before making its way globally. Preorders for the One Power have already begun on Flipkart and will go on sale from October 5 with a price tag of Rs 15,999. Apart from being a Flipkart exclusive, this handset will be available on various offline retail channels as well including Moto Hubs.

The Motorola One Power comes with a 6.2-inch full HD+ Max Vision display and boasts a 19:9 aspect ratio with a brightness of 450 nits. The handset is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC that’s paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. As far as optics go, the dual cameras on the rear include a 16MP + 5MP; the front-facing selfie camera is rated at 12MP. The large 5000mAh battery is one of the highlighted features of this handset which should give it a decent battery life.

The handset will come running Android 8.1 Oreo but will get the Android 9.0 Pie update in the near future. Being an Android One device, the One Power will get timely software updates but it doesn’t get the usual slew of Motorola’s software customisations. One of the customisation’s that Motorola has added here is the double twist gesture to start the camera.
