After Apple launched its iPhone X in several countries, the latest flagship device will now be available to markets in South America next month. Apple has updated its website that the iPhone X will now be available in three additional Latin American countries in early December.

According to MacRumors, the Apple’s website shows December 8 as the launch date for its iPhone X smartphone in Brazil.

However, in Brazil, the iPhone X will be available to purchase but before buying an iPhone in Brazil, take a deep breath because Apple’s online store shows a price tag of R$ 6,999 Brazilian Real, which is about $2,170 USD, twice as much as the handset costs in the US and other parts of the world.

The reason behind the Apple’s prices in Brazil being significantly higher than other country is because the country’s 60 percent duty on imported products valued up to $3,000 and likely other factors.

The iPhone X was first launched on November 3 in the US and over 50 other countries.
