For the users who want to fetch this update on their OnePlus 6, you need to factory reset your phone and the instructions are needed to be followed.

OnePlus has just released an update for the OnePlus 6 which promised a fix for the bootloader vulnerability. This update has recently rolled out to users across the world and while the update has fixed some stability issues and optimises call quality, the update has brought with it a fresh issue — a serious drain on battery life.

Some users have voiced complains by stating that the OnePlus 6 is suffering from serious battery drain. Battery life has dropped by half since the latest update and the screen consuming more charge than usual. One particular user has also claimed that the device has shut down with the battery still having 50 per cent charge. Other users have complained about the camera app freezing.

Besides the OnePlus6, OnePlus 3 and 3T owners have also complained about battery drain issues. Their batteries are believed to drain completely in just a few hours and the low battery notification does not show up when the battery drops to 15 per cent.

As of now, OnePlus has not issued an update regarding this issue. However, if you happen to be a OnePlus user, we advise you to refrain from updating your phone to Oxygen Os 5.1.8 till a fix is issued.
